Job description

About Legion Health

At Legion Health, we believe everyone deserves fast, affordable, and world-class health care. Legion is an insurance-covered virtual psychiatry medical group building AI-enabled tools to make care more accessible and efficient. Our clinicians deliver care, while AI and software handle much of the administrative work so clinicians and patient-support teams can focus on the moments where human judgment and empathy matter most. We combine rich data, production AI, and end-to-end care operations as we work toward a better experience for patients and clinicians. Legion is backed by Y Combinator and leading venture capital firms.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Growth Content Lead to grow Legion across three connected areas: paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and site content. You’ll use audience and performance insights to decide where to focus, then develop and improve campaigns, lifecycle communications, and website or landing-page experiences. This is a hands‑on generalist role: you’ll set priorities, write briefs, run experiments, and create or adapt content and simple assets, partnering with Design, Product, and Engineering as needed.

Your work will connect the patient journey from first impression through booking and follow‑up. You’ll evaluate performance across paid channels, lifecycle engagement, site conversion, bookings, and completed appointments, using insights from each area to guide what the team improves next.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Paid acquisition and creative: Own the creative thinking behind paid campaigns, from audience and performance insight through briefs, creative review, and iteration. Assess hooks, messages, formats, visuals, and placement fit, and partner with designers, agencies, and creators to bring strong work to market.

  • Paid testing and performance: Maintain a dependable creative testing cadence, with new work entering market at least biweekly. Organize variants, capture what each test teaches us, and manage campaigns and spend against agreed goals, connecting results to bookings and completed appointments.

  • Site content and conversion: Own the clarity and quality of growth content across key website and landing pages. Shape page narratives around what prospective patients need to understand, answer common questions, and make next steps easy to follow.

  • Site optimization: Use audience, search, and performance insights to prioritize page improvements and assess progress toward booking. Partner with SEO, Product, and Engineering on page experience, implementation, and content QA.

  • Lifecycle content: Plan, write, and improve communications for key moments in the patient journey, from initial interest and booking through follow‑up. Keep messages timely, relevant, and consistent with Legion’s voice.

  • Lifecycle journeys and learning: Work with Growth and relevant partners on audiences, triggers, and cadence. Review engagement and downstream booking performance, then use what you learn to improve each journey. Familiarity with a lifecycle platform such as Resend is helpful.

  • Briefing across all three pillars: Turn audience research, performance data, and brand strategy into clear briefs for paid, site, and lifecycle content. Define the audience, objective, insight, message, format, call to action, and how each piece will be evaluated.

  • Partner across the team: Work closely with Growth, Design, SEO, Engineering, and lifecycle partners to move content from idea to launch. Bring in technical support when measurement, site changes, or integrations need it.

You’ll Be Successful If…

  • Paid acquisition: New creative enters testing at least biweekly, with each round tied to a clear audience insight and question.

  • Paid acquisition: Test results show what is working, what the team should change next, and how creative contributes to bookings and completed appointments against agreed goals.

  • Site content: Key website and landing pages answer prospective patients’ questions, explain what to expect, and make next steps clear.

  • Site content: Page updates are guided by audience, search, and performance insights, with progress toward booking measured against agreed goals.

  • Lifecycle marketing: Communications cover agreed moments in the patient journey with timely, relevant messages that feel helpful and consistent with Legion’s voice.

  • Lifecycle marketing: Engagement and downstream booking and appointment‑completion performance are tracked against agreed goals and used to improve lifecycle journeys.

  • Across the journey: Learnings move between paid, site, and lifecycle so messages feel connected and each pillar benefits from what the others are learning.

Ideal Background and Skills

  • 5+ years in growth or content marketing, including hands‑on experience with paid acquisition and campaign performance.

  • Strong creative judgment: you can look at an ad and assess its hook, message, format, visual execution, and fit for the audience and placement.

  • Experience turning performance and audience insights into useful creative briefs, then partnering with designers, agencies, or creators to make the work.

  • A track record of testing paid creative and using what you learn to shape the next brief and iteration.

  • Experience writing or shaping website and landing‑page content, with an eye for clarity, useful next steps, and conversion.

  • Experience planning or improving lifecycle communications, including audience journeys, triggered messages, or lifecycle content measurement. Familiarity with a platform such as Resend is helpful.

  • Clear writing and editing skills, with an instinct for content that is both compelling and easy to understand across formats.

  • Comfort reading performance across paid, site, and lifecycle, and connecting content work to bookings and completed appointments.

  • Comfortable collaborating with analysts or engineers when measurement, tracking, or site implementation needs technical support.

  • Strong organization, follow‑through, and warm, direct communication across Growth, Design, SEO, Engineering, and lifecycle partners.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $145,000–$175,000 annual base salary, based on experience

  • Early‑Stage Equity: Meaningful ownership in a category‑defining company.

  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Additional Perks: In‑person retreats, meal stipends, learning stipend, and AI tooling budget

  • Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy

  • Work Setup: Full‑time, onsite in San Francisco, CA
