Job description

Are you a seasoned entrepreneur or executive with a compelling career story? Are you ready to help business owners drive growth and position companies for a successful exit? Crews & co. is seeking a Growth Consultant in New York City to join the team.

Crews & co. helps small and medium-sized businesses increase their revenue, profitability, and saleable value utilizing our Growth Method Operating System.

A Growth Consultant guides businesses in framing the journey, aligning vision, and developing and executing the plan. While this position is remote, quarterly travel to client sites in the NYC area and to consultant training sessions in the New England area is required. This is a contracted position.

The ideal candidate will have the following key qualifications:

  1. Experience as part of an exit while being an owner/partner or SLT member.
  2. A strong track record of driving growth and transformation in companies.
  3. An entrepreneur who has grown a company from the ground up to $10M+ without an exit, and is now focused on helping other entrepreneurs scale their businesses.
  4. CEO, President, COO, or Owner/Partner of a company with $2M+ revenue for at least 5 years.
  5. Robust professional network (500+ LinkedIn Connections, 1,500+ followers).
  6. Willingness to invest time and energy into business development, leveraging a network to build a client base of 10+ clients.
  7. Proven ability to work with small businesses to identify opportunities and drive growth while meeting current needs.
  8. Passion for helping companies increase revenue, profit, and valuation (RPV).
  9. Commitment to using Growth System & Tools to help clients enhance RPV.
  10. Deep understanding of business strategies, market dynamics, and leadership practices.
  11. Reside in the greater NYC area.
  12. A Masters or Doctoral degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements/Considerations:

  1. Experience with a Business Operating System (e.g., EOS, Scaling Up) or baseline knowledge of such systems.
  2. Familiarity with financial reporting and some financial planning/modeling skills.
  3. Service industry background preferred.
  4. Experience managing teams of over 50 employees, driving performance, and aligning efforts with company goals.
  5. Ability to have difficult conversations to facilitate progress.
  6. Capability to manage multiple clients effectively.
  7. Familiarity with teachings in Measure What Matters, Traction, Scaling Up, and similar frameworks.
  8. Team player who collaborates well with other consultants.
  9. Motivated to help clients succeed.
