Job summary

Chinook Systems is seeking a Vice President of Business Development & Marketing to lead a unified growth engine across all lines of business in a hybrid role with in-office presence at our Arlington, VA HQ and travel to client sites in the D.C. Metro Area.

The role requires a track record in federal/public sector sales, development of pipelines, and winning major contracts, with strong CRM and market intelligence capabilities. Travel up to 50% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, general contracting, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated business development and marketing strategy aligned with Chinook’s strategic plan.
• Define priority markets, agencies, and strategic accounts.
• Establish annual pipeline and revenue growth targets.
• Develop BD roadmaps with each LOB.
• Support LOB Managers in identifying priority pursuits.
• Lead outward-facing business development activities.
• Identify and qualify opportunities across public and private sectors.
• Develop executive-level relationships with agency leaders and partners.
• Lead capture strategy development for major pursuits.
• Develop capture plans and win strategies.
• Establish competitive positioning and win themes.
• Oversee marketing strategy to strengthen market visibility and pipeline development.
• Ensure sales and marketing materials support growth strategy.
• Lead industry engagement strategy and define conference priorities.
• Establish governance for growth activities and lead pipeline reviews.
• Align marketing, business development, capture, and delivery leadership across lifecycle.
• Lead Chinook’s Growth Organization, mentoring and performance oversight.
