Job summary

Always Fresh Farms LLC is seeking a Grower Payable Specialist to support grower accounting operations, prepare settlements, and maintain supplier records in our ERP system. This permanent role reports to the Grower Accounting Manager and requires meticulous attention to detail and effective communication.

Responsibilities include preparing weekly grower pricing, reviewing payment reports, and collaborating with sales, logistics, and operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 2+ years of experience within the accounting field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance; overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all aspects of grower accounting operations and reporting as needed.
• Prepare weekly grower pricing for assigned regions using reports and Excel.
• Set up new suppliers and subledgers in ERP.
• Review charges by lot and verify applicable expenses.
• Prepare settlements and advances for assigned regions.
• Research and verify activities to maintain complete supplier records.
• Review and analyze payment reports and remittance before submission.
• Produce ad-hoc reports and projects as requested.
• Suggest process improvements to streamline grower accounting systems.
• Weekly review of Grower & Supplier Detail balances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, logistics, shipping and receiving.
• Work proactively, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
