Job summary

Gateway Church seeks a Groups and Care Pastor to lead the campus Groups and Care ministries, owning the plans, budget, and team. The role includes recruitment, training, and development of leaders, serving the congregation through care, prayer, and presence, and coordinating care services across weekend and campus events.

The position requires a ministerial license, 4+ years of ministry experience (groups and pastoral care), and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Multisite experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of ministry experience, including groups and/or pastoral care or counseling.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Licensed as a minister, or eligible to be licensed upon employment.
• Formal training in biblical counseling, crisis response, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Groups and Care at one campus, owning ministry plans and budget.
• Recruit, train, and develop Groups and Care Team members.
• Oversee Serve Teams for both ministries, including budget management.
• Pastor the people through care, prayer, and presence and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate funeral and memorial services; oversee care records and reporting.
