Job summary

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System in Streamwood, IL seeks a Group Therapist to deliver psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic group treatment for pediatric to adult patients. You will prepare and facilitate sessions, guide participation, document progress, and coordinate with the treatment team.

Candidates must have a Master's in SW/psychology or related field and licensure; knowledge of CBT; strong communication and collaboration; prior group facilitation preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of group process, dynamics, and group safety precautions.
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy theory and intervention.
• Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with hospital staff (peers and leadership).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; diplomacy and discretion; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic group sessions for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
• Document group notes including content, observations, and progress toward treatment goals.
• Maintain open communication with the program Director and treatment teams to support quality service delivery and daily scheduling.
