Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System is seeking a Group Therapist for a full-time role in Streamwood, IL. The position involves leading psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic group sessions across pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, with careful documentation and collaboration with care teams.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and clinical licensure or eligibility, plus strong communication and group facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Certified or licensed in a clinically related field.
• Experience providing group facilitation.
• Knowledge of group process, dynamics, and safety precautions.
• Knowledge of CBT theory and intervention.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with hospital staff (peers and leadership).
• Diplomacy and discretion are essential; strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate regular group therapy sessions for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.
• Guide and direct group participation, address group dynamics, and observe individual responses.
• Document group notes including content, observations, and progress toward treatment goals.
• Maintain open communication with the Director and treatment teams to support service delivery and scheduling.
• Follow policies related to release of information and confidentiality; attend clinical supervision.
