Job summary

Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Expressive Arts Therapist to join its inpatient multidisciplinary team. This full-time position focuses on delivering expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on the hospital's units.

You will perform initial activity therapy assessments, facilitate four groups per day, and communicate through treatment planning and team meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field required.
• 6 months of group leadership experience in psychiatric settings preferred.

The Group Therapist is an important member of the Friends Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Group Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Friends Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units.

Qualifications

Education Requirement :

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field required
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred
