Job summary

Arbour Hospital in Boston is seeking an Activity Therapist for weekends (16 hours). You will join the inpatient multidisciplinary team, delivering expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups and recreational activities on psychiatric units, with a focus on goal-directed care.

Responsibilities include initial activity therapy assessments, facilitating four groups per day, documenting plans and communicating with the treatment team, and maintaining timely records to support coordinated

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field required
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred
• Experience facilitating expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities is desirable
