Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a licensed clinician to join our Eastern Shore residential program. You will conduct group therapy, provide psychoeducation, document progress notes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support clients' recovery.

A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required; a master's is preferred. State licensure or certification to practice is necessary (e.g., ADT).

• Substance abuse experience is required.
• State licensure/certification to practice in this role is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress.
• Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
• Valid state licensure/certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. ADT
• Substance abuse experience required
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality

Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore is a 100-bed residential facility which offers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
