Job summary

Atlanta Swim Academy is expanding and seeking Assistant Swim Instructors to start immediately. You will lead small groups, provide in-water instruction, and help students of all ages learn water safety while building leadership and communication skills in a family-oriented setting.

This position offers growth opportunities to Lead Instructor and Instructor Supervisor, with training and development, flexible scheduling, and benefits including health and dental insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or coaching swimmers of all ages.
• Strong communication with children and adults.
• Ability to lead and motivate groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups (4-5) of swimmers through progressively challenging swim skills.
• In-water instruction for all age groups and skill levels.
• Plan and organize class time through lesson plans.
• Teach and lead with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Provide for consistency in instruction by working each assigned lesson.
• Communicate with parents and swimmers on progress towards goals.
• Complete any necessary paperwork and reports.
• Enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations.
• Cover all material required in a level.
