Job description

Essential functions and responsibilities

1. Teach swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities.
2. Assist more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
3. Assess the progress of students and adjust teaching programs accordingly.
4. Monitor students to prevent accidents and injuries.
5. Ensure that the swimming pool is clean and tidy.
6. Provide coverage as a pool attendant or lifeguard as typically expected.

Job requirements

1. Current Lifeguard Certification Preferred
2. Current CPR/AED Certification Required
3. Red Cross Aquatics Safety Training or Lifeguard Certification required within 30 days of hire
4. Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.
