Job summary

Balboa facility in Northridge is seeking a Group Services Coordinator to support the Case Flow Coordinator, supervise the Group Services Case Manager and Group Facilitators, and help get groups up and running with approved curricula. Two evenings a month may be required.

You will collaborate on referrals, identify needed groups, assign staff, oversee documentation and billing for linkage interventions, and assist in staff orientation.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Experience commensurate with job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to complete projects and reports promptly.
  • Licensed or license-eligible clinician REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate referrals for group services with Case Flow and Admissions.
  • Provide supervision to new groups and to group staff as assigned.
  • Offer weekly clinical and administrative supervision to Group Services Case Managers.
  • Identify and communicate group needs based on referrals.
  • Collaborate with clinical management to staff groups.
  • Prepare notes and billing for linkage interventions per DMH standards.
  • Assist in orientation of new staff.
  • Hours: 40 hours full-time, some evenings may be required.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm; occasional evenings may be required.
  • FSLA Status: Exempt

The Position:

We are seeking a Group Services Coordinator for our Balboa facility in Northridge to assist the Case Flow Coordinator in developing access to care for families in the community and provide supervision to the Group Services Case Manager and Group Facilitators. The Group Services Coordinator will identify the need for groups, identify the providers to run groups, and assist in getting groups up and running as well as managing the curriculums. (*Two evenings a month, 10:00 a.m. – 8 p.m. may be REQUIRED*)


What You’ll Do

  • Actively involved in collaborating with Case Flow Coordinator and Admissions Coordinator to coordinate identification of referrals for group services.
  • Provides supervision to new groups as needed and assigned.
  • Provides weekly individual clinical and administrative supervision to the Group Services Case Managers .
  • Identifies and communicates the need for specific groups based on current referrals to the center.
  • Collaborates with clinical management to identify staff to run groups.

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based child and family clinical interventions relevant to families served in community mental health settings.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to complete projects and reports in a timely fashion.
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register for a license with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Licensed or license-eligible clinician REQUIRED
