Job summary

Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio seeks a Group Sales Manager to drive group sales and revenue while overseeing private events and group experiences. You will manage the end-to-end sales process, from inquiry through contract, while leading the group sales and event team to exceed goals.

The role requires strong sales and leadership capabilities, a two-year degree or equivalent, and experience with ticketing or event management software. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; one year related experience; or equivalent combination.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team with accountability.
• Experience with ticketing or event management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute group sales strategies to generate new business and revenue.
• Prospect, cultivate, and maintain relationships with businesses and organizations for a steady pipeline.
• Manage the client experience from inquiry to event completion, including proposals and contracts.
• Build a strong local network by attending events and maintaining memberships.
• Lead the event operations team for private rentals and group functions from setup to breakdown.
• Oversee pre-event planning, including diagrams, checklists, and AV requirements.
• Coordinate staffing plans with park leadership for day-of execution.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue through services and catering.
• Oversee post-event processes: follow-up, recaps, billing, and referrals.
• Monitor performance, sales activity, and provide coaching to meet goals.
