eBay is looking for an experienced Group Product Manager to lead our evolving platform capabilities to detect regulated and prohibited items on the platform. With over 2 billion listings, you will leverage AI / ML technologies, near real time capabilities and define how these intersect with our seller and buyer experiences. You will lead the product strategy to evolve our platform capabilities, translate regulatory and compliance problems into AI / ML use cases and ensure eBay is a safe, trusted and easy to navigate marketplace.
This is a high profile role with executive level visibility, with cross functional engagement across multiple and business critical strategic key initiatives.
What you will accomplish:
Lead: Define AI / ML centric product vision and measurable impact to build scalable capabilities with a platform approach. Ensure we have the right customer experiences across use cases and capabilities. Optimize the right investments to support near-term work and longer-term high impact strategic capabilities
Partner: Align with collaborators in AI teams, Engineering, Analytics, Policy, Legal and Operations teams to meet not just the team’s goals, but unlock new capabilities to platform trust, safety and trust
Enable: Close partnership with teams on a highly technical product capability, balancing short term problem statements with scalability to guide the team’s work. Leverage new AI innovations and capabilities to accelerate the roadmap
What you will bring:
10-12 years of experience in product management with 3 years of hands on ML / AI experience ; experience with marketplaces a plus
Passion, and a proven track record of leading cross functional teams to deliver intuitive and delight users
Strong analytical and experimentation skills to define opportunity areas and test with velocity and at scale.
Expertise synthesize data into insights and insights into actionable hypotheses, and mentor teams in the same
The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below:
$197,200 - $263,300The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is expected in the range below:
$142,400 - $232,300Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
