Job summary

Discord is seeking a Group Product Manager for Data/ML to drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for its Machine Learning Platform, with emphasis on Advertising.

You will partner with Applied ML, ML Platform, and Data Science to shape the ML roadmap, align stakeholders, and ensure data-driven decisions across product teams. This role reports to the VP of Product and requires SF Bay Area presence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years combined experience in data science and product management.
• 3-5+ years PM experience owning algorithmic data-driven systems.
• Proven ability to analyze and synthesize data directly with statistical foundations.
• Technical proficiency working with ML/data engineers.
• Experience operating across international or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discord's ML Platform and Advertising use cases.
• Own performance against data/ML metrics and report progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Applied ML, ML Platform, and Data Science to prioritize ML roadmap for Advertising.
• Advise product teams on building data-first instrumentation from the start.
• Drive cross-functional execution with engineers, security, legal, and policy partners.
