Job summary

Volta, based in Palo Alto, seeks a Group Product Manager for the Kubernetes-native control plane that manages Volta's compute, storage, and networking resources. You will lead a team of product managers and work closely with platform engineering to translate customer needs into features.

This deeply technical leadership role shapes reliability and efficiency of the fleet, requiring strong product instincts, technical fluency, and ability to partner with engineers to drive scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience in infrastructure, platform, or developer tools.
• Experience managing other product managers or leading a product team.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure control plane concepts.
• Strong technical fluency, comfortable partnering closely with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and roadmap for Volta's control plane — the Kubernetes-native layer managing compute, storage, and networking lifecycle
• Lead and develop a team of product managers focused on control plane capabilities
• Work closely with platform engineering to translate customer and operational needs into control plane features
• Prioritize the roadmap based on customer impact, operational reliability, and platform scalability
• Partner with the bring-up and operations teams to identify and address operational pain points
• Define success metrics for control plane capabilities and track outcomes post-launch
• Represent control plane priorities in cross-functional and leadership planning
• Communicate roadmap and rationale clearly to engineering, leadership, and customers as needed
