Job summary

OSI Group in Batavia, IL is seeking a warehouse associate to support shipping and receiving operations. You will inspect coolers, sign drivers, verify documents, and enter data into SAP and GSQA portals throughout the shift. You will also maintain dock cleanliness and assist with cycle counts and forklift battery maintenance.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, a focus on GMPs and safety, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of job experience minimum.
• Demonstrated ability to follow GMPs and safety practices.
• Ability to inspect forklift batteries and perform daily inspections.
• Experience with warehouse duties including shipping/receiving and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at shift start and during the day.
• Sign in/out truck drivers and relay instructions.
• Verify Bill of Lading against Certificate of Analysis.
• Receive and prioritize meat combos from production.
• Enter shipping data in SAP and GSQA portals.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound appointments and paperwork.
• Perform weekly cycle counts of finished goods and packaging materials.
• Ensure forklift safety and battery maintenance.
• Maintain dock areas and perform 5S audits.
• Rotate employee assignments and enforce GMPs.

Description

Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day

Sign-in/out truck drivers, gathering pertinent information and giving instructions to drivers

Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving. Verify all lot numbers on all combos received.

Receive meat combos based on priorities from production

Delegate assignments to employees

Verify assignments are accomplished

Enter the Shipping information in SAP system.

Ensure Receiving scale is working properly/calibrate daily

Schedule appointment inbound/outbound

Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork

Verify employee initials are enter correctly

Process goods receipts

Enter all information in GSQA website.

Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory)

Responsible to inspect the forklift batteries and recharge the batteries

Responsible for the trailer movements or verify changes

Responsible to rotate employee job assignments

Ensure all employees are following GMP’s and Safety practices

Ensure the Spotter is in good working conditions

Investigate internal incidents and report to the Supervisor immediately

Ensure only authorized personnel drive the Forklifts

Ensure employees are completing the Forklift inspection sheet daily

Conduct 5`s Audits

Ensure the inside and outside dock area cleaned

Maintain the finished goods Freezer cleaned

Other duties as assigned.

We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.

Additional Compensation: This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.
