Job summary

OSI INDUSTRIES, LLC in Illinois is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate to oversee daily operations of the department, expedite paperwork, verify information, and manage goods receipts. You will inspect cooler/freezer conditions, sign in/out drivers, verify bills of lading, enter shipping data in SAP and GSQA, and help with weekly cycle counts while upholding GMP and safety standards.

Candidates with at least one year of experience and a willingness to work overtime will fit well; the role

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with shipping & receiving operations preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day.
• Sign-in/out truck drivers, gathering pertinent information and giving instructions to drivers.
• Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving. Verify all lot numbers on all combos received.
• Receive meat combos based on priorities from production.
• Enter the Shipping information in SAP system.
• Enter all information in GSQA website.
• Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory).
• Inspect the forklift batteries and recharge the batteries.
• Schedule inbound/outbound.
• Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork.
• Ensure employees are following GMP’s and Safety practices.
• Maintain the finished goods Freezer cleaned.

Responsible for the daily operation of the Shipping & Receiving department. Expedite paperwork for deliveries and shipments; verify accuracy of information; notify suppliers of weight received variances. Process goods receipts

Job responsibilities

Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day

Sign-in/out truck drivers, gathering pertinent information and giving instructions to drivers

Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving . Verify all lot numbers on all combos received.

Receive meat combos based on priorities from production

Delegate assignments to employees

Verify assignments are accomplished

Enter the Shipping information in SAP system.

Ensure Receiving scale is working properly/calibrate daily

Schedule appointment inbound/outbound

Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork

Verify employee initials are enter correctly

Process goods receipts

Enter all information in GSQA website.

Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory)

Responsible to inspect the forklift batteries and recharge the batteries

Responsible for the trailer movements or verify changes

Responsible to rotate employee job assignments

Ensure all employees are following GMP’s and Safety practices

Ensure the Spotter is in good working conditions

Investigate internal incidents and report to the Supervisor immediately

Ensure only authorized personnel drive the Forklifts

Ensure employees are completing the Forklift inspection sheet daily

Conduct 5`s Audits

Ensure the inside and outside dock area cleaned

Maintain the finished goods Freezer cleaned

Other duties as assigned.

Compensation/Benefits
We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
Additional Compensation:
This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.
