Job summary

OSI Group Batavia, IL is seeking a Shipping & Receiving lead to manage daily warehouse operations, verify documents, and coordinate truck activity. The role requires ensuring GMP and safety practices, supervising a small team, and maintaining accurate SAP entries.

Responsibilities include inspecting conditions of coolers, signing for drivers, and performing periodic cycle counts. The position offers hourly pay and potential overtime or bonus opportunities based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities.
• Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at shift start and throughout the day.
• Sign in/out truck drivers and relay instructions.
• Verify Bill of Lading against COA before receiving.
• Enter shipping data in SAP and GSQA systems.
• Support cycle counts of finished goods and packaging materials.
• Ensure forklift operations and battery maintenance are safe.

Description

Responsible for the daily operation of the Shipping & Receiving department. Expedite paperwork for deliveries and shipments; verify accuracy of information; notify suppliers of weight received variances. Process goods receipts

Job responsibilities

Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day

Sign-in/out truck drivers, gathering pertinent information and giving instructions to drivers

Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving . Verify all lot numbers on all combos received.

Receive meat combos based on priorities from production

Delegate assignments to employees

Verify assignments are accomplished

Enter the Shipping information in SAP system.

Ensure Receiving scale is working properly/calibrate daily

Schedule appointment inbound/outbound

Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork

Verify employee initials are enter correctly

Process goods receipts

Enter all information in GSQA website.

Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory)

Responsible to inspect the forklift batteries and recharge the batteries

Responsible for the trailer movements or verify changes

Responsible to rotate employee job assignments

Ensure all employees are following GMP’s and Safety practices

Ensure the Spotter is in good working conditions

Investigate internal incidents and report to the Supervisor immediately

Ensure only authorized personnel drive the Forklifts

Ensure employees are completing the Forklift inspection sheet daily

Conduct 5`s Audits

Ensure the inside and outside dock area cleaned

Maintain the finished goods Freezer cleaned

Other duties as assigned.

Compensation/Benefits
We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
Additional Compensation:
This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.
