Green Metals in Princeton, Indiana seeks a supervisor for the waste processing team. You will oversee scrap, recyclables and waste from automotive manufacturing, contributing to EMS performance and regulatory compliance.

You will lead daily team activities, ensure safety KPIs, participate in meetings and Kaizen, and help document procedures. Requires a high school diploma and at least six months of management experience; PPE and safety protocols are essential.

Summary

Responsible for supervision of and performance of the Team related to processing scrap, recyclable, non-hazardous, and hazardous waste generated from the process of building automobiles. The responsibilities of this position also include contributing to Environmental Management System (EMS) performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in the protection of the environment and reduction of pollution from the activities within the organization.

• Supervises Team Members in following standardized work instructions as related to the removal and disposal of waste or recyclables from manufacturing facilities in a safe manner.Supervises cleaning of work area according to 5S standards.
• Following standardized work instructions related to the removal and disposal of waste or recyclables from manufacturing facilities in a safe manner.
• Ensures all monthly safety KPIs and other reports assigned are completed.
• Leads and/or participate in team meetings and training.
• Participates in Kaizen activities.
• Assists in the creation of operational procedures/instructions and other documentation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of management experience required.
• Manufacturing/production environment involves consistent exposure to machinery, tools, and material handling activities. Employees interact frequently with team members, supervisors, and quality/safety personnel during shift handoffs, line changes, and routine coordination, with ambient to loud noise from equipment, forklifts, alarms, and ventilation systems, possibly requiring hearing protection in designated areas. Lighting is primarily overhead task and bay lighting; temperatures and airflow may vary by process and season, with localized heat, cold, dust, or odors depending on materials used. The environment typically
  requires PPE (e.g., safety shoes, eye/ear protection, gloves, hearing
  protection) and adherence to safety, housekeeping, and lockout/tagout procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workplace.
