Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Group Leader Cornerstone to supervise classrooms and run engaging activities for children, youth, adults and seniors at the Cornerstone, Learning Lab and Beacon Programs.

You will collaborate with the Site Director and Assistant Director, ensuring day-to-day activities, attendance tracking and safety protocols are followed, including weekends and evening shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Some college education preferred.
• Background in arts or performance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Site Director to provide activities for participants of various ages.
• Supervise and run classrooms with support from an activity specialist.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols (DOH, DYCD, DOE, BCS).
• Develop and plan curriculum and activities for K-5 students and beyond.
• Coordinate daily schedule planning and material prep with staff.
• Supervise groups during activities, snack, and field trips; support evenings/weekends as needed.
