Job summary

SFS is seeking a Manufacturing Group Leader to join our Wyomissing, PA location. Lead a small team of machine operators to achieve productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure inventory accuracy, uphold safety standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating hiring, training, and daily administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-5 years leading a team in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Hands on leadership of small team of machine operators to productivity excellence
• Ensure inventory accuracy through proper material handling, documentation, and cycle counts
• Lead with safety in all aspects of machinery operation
• Hiring, training, and retaining employees
• Inspect parts and follow SFS inspection processes for quality
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance process
• Prevents and detects potential quality problems by following the QES (Quality, Environmental, Safety) standards
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
• Data entry of SAP transactions for meeting daily production goals
• Administrative tasks as required- reporting, time keeping, hiring and disciplinary documentation, processing timecards, etc.
• Program PMC controls
• Cleaning machinery, workstation, and other duties as assigned
