Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division seeks a Group Lead- Shipper on 1st Shift, with a starting hourly rate of $23.77. Shift runs 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with potential overtime. Primary duties include coordinating container, flatbed and van shipments, and processing orders with carriers and internal teams.

Deliverables include loading/unloading, accurate SAP records, and team training to ensure timely, cost-effective shipping. The role emphasizes safety, Lean practices, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Group Lead- Shipper - 1st Shift.The hourly rate for this position is $23.77 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7 am - 3:30 pm. Troubleshoot problem solving as well as train shippers to assist to troubleshoot/problem solve issues.Perform and train shippers on duties necessary to load and unload flatbed trucks, vans, and containers in a safe manner.Take photos and maintains archive of truckload shipments.Perform and train shippers on duties necessary to process small parcel shipments (UPS, Fedex and DHL) as needed.Delegate/coordinate daily workload of Shippers to help ensure shipping goals are met. Publish export packing and mark packages / shipments as required.Perform as well as train shippers on all types of material handling, lifting, and packaging while following the shipping schedule and processing shipments.Facilitate communication between Materials Supervisor and Shippers as needed.Publish requisition weekly for miscellaneous part orders.Instruct, train, and/or assist shipping and other personnel as required.Train shippers on existing and new processes and procedures.Process perform and train on duties related to freight claims.Process shipping paperwork daily for records to be scanned to SAP delivery. Hard copy of shipping paperwork is to be maintained in Shipping department files. Train or facilitate training of Youth Apprentice as needed to assist with these duties.Delegate tasks as needed to the team working with Materials Lead and Receiving Lead as needed.Provide guidance and direction to employees to ensure compliance with 5S+ at the start of each shift and 5S+ at the end of every shift.Maintain safe and clean work area in accordance with factory standards.Maintain a clean an organized and clutter free backroom/receiving area operation.Actively support a culture of safety which includes, but is not limited: Life Saving Rules, Risk Assessment, FIFI, Quality, and Shipping expectations.Encourage team to continuously improve Safety, Quality and Lean.Maintain high levels of quality in assigned areas of functional responsibility.Lead daily Tier 1 meeting(s) and daily Stretch and Flex.Ensure the Visual Boards are continuously maintained.Perform additional duties as required.Cross train for receiving lead position.Qualifications:GENERAL REQUIREMENTSWork Safely to prevent on-the-job injuries. Report on-the-job injuries and unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor. Provide prompt and efficient service with emphasis on quality of work. Work from list of catalog numbers and various reports.
