Parker Hannifin Corporation in Nacogdoches, Texas, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to oversee location maintenance activities across production and non-production equipment. Responsibilities include supervising the maintenance team, ensuring equipment compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting and strong knowledge of CNC and hydraulic systems. A technical certification is preferred. This position offers a competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits.
Owns overall location maintenance activities, on both production and nonproduction equipment. Fosters positive working relationships with all team members in line with Parker's WIN Strategy. Promotes Parker's Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost principles, and actively drives conformance to policies, standards, work practices, and systems.
Supervises and directs the work activity of the maintenance department, appropriately distributing workload, motivating and empowering subordinates, and developing team members, including constructing and executing development plans. Ensure best-in-class equipment uptime while maintaining full compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Plans, schedules, assigns, and supervises work of the maintenance department. Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
Maintains facility equipment and preventative maintenance programs.
Oversees moderately complex planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions and/or permit requirements, required completion dates, and construction feasibility. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Obtains quotes and supplies cost information on facility construction or improvement projects. Maintains supplier/contractor relationships.
Oversee the design, build, modify, maintain, and repair assembly and machining workstations, including controls, guards, and fixtures on presses, and test equipment.
Contact, coordinate and lead efforts with outside contractors as it relates to machine repairs, facility repairs, facility upgrades or any other projects in which outside resources are necessary.
Ensure compliance OSHA regulations and other safety governing bodies. Prepare and maintain appropriate records in accordance to company policies and law.
Oversee work required to rig, move or erect all types of machine tools and equipment for plant layout changes.
Positively and actively contribute to High Performance Teams (HPTs) by participating in team improvement boards (TIB) reviews, problem solving and task completion.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification(s) and/or associate degree preferred.
5+years of experience working as a maintenance mechanic required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of CNC equipment, electrical theory, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits preferred.
Demonstrates working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including ladder logic and electronics, with the ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical drawings.
Ability to design and fabricate fixturing and guarding from a variety of materials.
