Job summary

Your Health Organization seeks a Group Lead to support training, staffing, and workforce planning in the Aiken area. This full-time, salary-based role focuses on coordinating coverage, onboarding new hires, and ongoing staff development while supporting initiatives such as Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standard training plans for each role within the Care Group; schedule and track ongoing education.
  • Coordinate onboarding for all new hires ensuring consistent Week 1 experiences.
  • Provide and oversee training for changes in workflows, processes, or compliance standards.
  • Lead trainings on documentation, billing, EHR workflows, and company software; address learning gaps.
  • Monitor staffing coverage, PTO/absences, and backfill to maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain live staffing rosters and monitor performance metrics; coordinate with regional leadership.

We are seeking a Group Lead to assist our employees in the Aiken with training, workforce planning and efficiency oversight. This role is responsible for coordinating staffing
coverage, overseeing new hire onboarding, training for both new and established staff, competency development, and ongoing staff productivity within the Care Group, as well as supporting initiatives such as Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). Group Lead does not provide direct patient-facing care but serves as the organizer, coach, and problem-solver for training and staffing across the team. By partnering closely with regional leadership and the Training & Education Department, the Training & Staffing Lead helps build a workforce that is consistent, competent, resilient, and patient-centered.

This position will be working in the Aiekn office daily. This is a full-time, salary-based8-hr position (8:00AM-5:00PM) (Monday-Friday).

What Are We Looking For?

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Implement and maintain a standard training plan for each role within the Care Group; schedule, deliver, and track ongoing education and refreshers.
  • Coordinate and participate in onboarding for all new hires within the Care Group, ensuring consistent Week 1 experiences, equipment setup, and role-specific introductions.
  • Provide and oversee training for established employees when workflows, processes, or compliance standards change.
  • Lead focused trainings on documentation, billing, EHR workflows, and company software; troubleshoot learning gaps and coordinate with Training and Education when system updates roll out.
  • Perform role-specific competencies and skills checklists and provide coaching to close gaps.
  • Communicate best practices, protocol updates, and regulatory requirements; reinforce adoption across the Care Group.
  • Own the daily and forward-looking coverage plan for all Care Group roles; manage
  • PTO/absence, call-outs, and backfill coverage to maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain a live staffing roster to minimize service disruptions and overtime spikes.
  • Coordinate new-to-team schedule ramp-ups in alignment with competency completion.
  • Monitor schedule health (capacity, cancellations due to staffing), elevate persistent gaps, and propose redistribution and cross-coverage plans.
  • Team Efficiency, Coaching & Field Enablement
  • Run micro-trainings and coaching huddles to raise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership on field processes: medication reconciliation accuracy, telehealth facilitation workflows, and documentation timeliness.
  • Escalate training or performance concerns: Identify individuals who are not retaining information, consistently failing to meet role expectations, or who may not be a good fit for their position or the organization. Communicate concerns to regional leadership for coaching or further review.
  • Work with regional leadership to monitor staff productivity metrics, address inefficiencies, and ensure clinicians and support staff are performing at expected levels.
  • Identify and implement ongoing training opportunities for staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in training and education and staffing.
  • Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or higher preferred; leadership experience in field/community operations a plus.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills; proven ability to manage complex coverage logistics across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient with EHR and company software; comfortable building training content and tracking completions/competencies.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
  • Should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order
