Job summary

The Arc of Somerset County is seeking a Group Home Manager - Residential Services in Hillsborough, NJ. This Full Time role manages all operations of the Residence, supervising staff and coordinating resident training and programming, while acting as liaison to families and community organizations.

Eligibility requires a valid NJ, NY, or PA driver's license, HS Diploma or GED, and experience in direct services for individuals with disabilities plus supervisory experience in a disability service

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• One year experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons is required.
• One year of staff supervisory experience in a disability service provision setting is required.
• Experience in a community residential setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison, advocate and coordinator for consumer involvement in support groups, self-advocacy, vocational programming, transportation services, integrated community activities, recreation and learning independent living skills.
• Fosters open and supportive communication with consumers, families, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Bureau of Guardianship Services and other community organizations and agencies.
• Oversees all consumer medical, medication and health issues.
• Monitor all staff performance management, including performance reviews and developmental plans, disciplinary actions, etc., for all program staff as scheduled.
• Ensure operational practices align with DDD standards.
• Ensure completion/submission of all required daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled.
• Coordinate all aspects of program financial procedures including monitoring of utility use in accordance with agency and DDD's policies.
• Oversee maintenance of the physical plant and vehicles to include cleanliness, decor, safety issues, emergency situations; practice preventive maintenance; ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by supervisor.
