Job summary

The Arc of Somerset County in Franklin Park, NJ, seeks a Group Home Manager - Residential Services to oversee operations of the residence, supervise staff, and liaise with families and agencies. The role directs resident training, programming, and family support while ensuring compliance with DDD standards.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma or GED, at least one year of direct services to developmentally disabled individuals, and supervisory experience in a disability service setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison, advocate and coordinator for consumer involvement in support groups, self-advocacy, vocational programming, transportation services, integrated community activities.
• Fosters open and supportive communication with consumers, families, DDD, Bureau of Guardianship Services and other community organizations.
• Oversees all consumer medical, medication and health issues.
• Monitor all staff performance management, including performance reviews and developmental plans, disciplinary actions for all program staff.
• Ensure operational practices align with DDD standards.
• Ensure completion/submission of all required daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled.
• Coordinate all aspects of program financial procedures including monitoring of utility use.
• Oversee maintenance of the physical plant and vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.

A Group Home Manager @ The Arc of Somerset CountyManages all operations and activities of the Residence including staff supervision, acts as agency/community liaison, directs resident training and programming, and facilities family support, etc.

Eligibility requirements: Valid NJ, NY, PA Driver’s license

Required degrees, skills, or experience:

• Fosters open and supportive communication with consumers, families, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Bureau of Guardianship Services and other community organizations and agencies.
• Oversees all consumer medical, medication and health issues.
• Monitor all staff performance management, including performance reviews and developmental plans, disciplinary actions, etc., for all program staff as scheduled.
• Ensure operational practices align with DDD standards.
• Ensure completion/submission of all required daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled.
• Coordinate all aspects of program financial procedures including monitoring of utility use in accordance with agency and DDD's policies.
• Oversee maintenance of the physical plant and vehicles to include cleanliness, decor, safety issues, emergency situations; practice preventive maintenance; ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by supervisor.
