The Group Home Manager is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and quality of the residential home while ensuring that adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive high-quality, person-centered support. The Manager provides leadership and supervision to residential staff, oversees daily household operations, supports the implementation of individual service plans, ensures compliance with Pine Castle policies and regulatory requirements, and promotes an environment that fosters independence, dignity, personal choice, and community participation. The Manager serves as a role model for Pine Castle’s core values and works collaboratively with residents, families, guardians, staff, and the interdisciplinary team to promote the health, safety, well-being, and quality of life of each resident.
Directly supervises up to 7 employees and up to 10 consumers in the group homes. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university in health, social/rehabilitation sciences, education, or other human services related field, and two plus years management experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients and families, or employees of organizations while providing effective and exceptional customer service.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Completion of required background screening as required by Florida Statutes (see HB531 | Florida Agency for Health Care Administration for more information).
Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing, with clean record, is required and must be maintained for continued employment.
Certification in First Aid and CPR, HIV/Aids and Infection Control and all other APD required trainings must be attained within 90 days of employment and must not expire for continued employment.
Medication Certification and Validation must be attained within 90 days of employment and maintained for continued employment.
