Job summary

Nestvillage LLC is seeking a Direct Care Worker to support residents in a group home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and report changes under licensed nursing staff guidance.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and engaging residents in activities to promote independence and life skills while following agency policies and state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant training or certification (e.g., CNA, HHA, DSP) preferred.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in residential or group home settings is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with residents; valid driver’s license and clean driving record are assets.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor residents’ health and well-being; promptly report concerns to supervisors.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide basic health-related support per care plans.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in recreational, educational, and social activities.
