Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring Direct Support Caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and day programs. You will implement personal plans, assist with daily activities, and help clients communicate needs with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

The role is entry level, requires a high school diploma or GED, and offers a path to supervisory roles within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in health-related field preferred or two years’ health-related experience.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required; background check and drug screen.
• CPR, first aid, and related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in residential and day care settings and implement personal plans and goals.
• Support clients in communication of needs and requests; promote independence.
• Discharge responsibilities per shift and coordinate with Direct Care Manager.
