Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN is seeking a Group Home Assistant Manager to support eight group homes caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes direct care, administrative tasks, and community activities to enhance resident well-being.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with staff, maintaining medical equipment, assisting with financials, and arranging client appointments, while also planning outings and after-hours

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or a degree or certificate in a related field.
• Strengths: Organized, excellent communicator, strong leadership skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding care to all clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with all Direct Care Staff and build retention strategies to support staff members.
• Support Group Home Manager by participating in Group Home administration duties, such as assisting with financial statements, maintaining medical equipment, and assisting with client doctor appointments.
• Have fun planning and participating in our client's favorite activities and going on outings in the community.
• Maintain availability to assist with after-hours support and call-ins.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Provide outstanding care to all clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with all Direct Care Staff and build retention strategies to support staff members.

Additionally, you will support both our clients by providing direct care, including assisting with personal hygiene and hands‑on care, and our direct care staff by assisting with the day‑to‑day operations within the group home.
