Job summary

Monarch Recreation Center seeks a Group Exercise Coordinator to lead, schedule, and support the group fitness program. The role assists with recruiting, onboarding, training, and overseeing contracted and substitute instructors while ensuring a diverse, safe, and engaging schedule of offerings.

The coordinator also teaches classes as needed and collaborates with the Fitness Supervisor to maintain high standards and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of group exercise principles, formats and class design.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create structured class schedules and adjust based on demand.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and support the group fitness program.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise instructors and substitutes.
• Teach classes as needed and ensure safety and standards.
• Monitor participation trends and adjust schedules; report findings.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with members.
