Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs is seeking a Group Fitness Manager to oversee all aspects of the Group Fitness program at a designated location. You will hire, train, and schedule staff, working closely with the Director of Group Fitness to grow member engagement and program success.

Responsibilities include class scheduling, instructor training, and interdepartmental collaboration to meet gym goals. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required, with opportunities for advancement and professional

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or obtainable within 60 days of start date.
• Certification by ACE, A.S.C.M., NSCA, MOSSA or other recognized national bodies.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Ability to work well with others and build a positive team environment.
• Strong customer service skills and guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Group Fitness program for the location, including hiring, recruiting, scheduling and training new Group Fitness staff.
• Collaborate with the Director of Group Fitness and other coordinators to grow program success.
• Schedule all group fitness classes and manage instructor deployment.
• Train instructors to lead safe and effective classes and to engage members.
• Promote classes and events to members and the wider community.
• Maintain equipment and oversee class spaces and reports.
