Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs seeks a Group Fitness Manager to oversee all aspects of the Group Fitness program at a designated location. You will recruit, hire, schedule, and train staff, and collaborate with the Director of Group Fitness to grow class participation.

You will train instructors for safe, effective classes, promote events, and maintain strong member relations. Weekend/evening work is required, CPR certification and recognized certifications are needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of start date.
• Certification by ACE, ACSM, NSCA, MOSSA or other nationally recognized certification.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Customer service abilities and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Group Fitness program for a designated Genesis location, including hiring, recruiting, scheduling and training new Group Fitness Staff.
• Work with the Director of Group Fitness and other Coordinators to grow the success of Group Fitness.
• Execute procedures as outlined by group fitness manual.
• Schedule all group fitness classes and organize weekly reports with Club Manager.
• Promote all classes and events internally and externally.
• Attend staff and club meetings and maintain professional relationships with members and staff.
