Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year leading group exercise classes.
• Experience in a fitness/wellness environment, preferably with a community-focused organization like YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group exercise classes for various fitness levels and interests.
• Demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques ensuring safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain a welcoming, supportive atmosphere and foster community within the class.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to accommodate individual needs and abilities.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the exercise area and report equipment maintenance needs.
• Stay up-to-date with current fitness trends, certifications, and best practices.
• Collaborate with YMCA staff to promote fitness programs and member participation.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
