Mystic Valley YMCA in Malden, MA is seeking a part-time group fitness instructor to lead engaging classes that welcome people of all skill levels. Schedule includes Wednesday evenings and Sundays. <\/p>

Responsibilities include delivering safe, effective sessions, building community, tracking attendance, and adapting to participants’ needs. Requires CPR/First Aid/AED and a recognized group fitness certification; one year teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are required.
• Group fitness certification from a recognized body is required.
• One year of group wellness class teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes as directed.
• Answers questions from participants to support health goals.
• Maintains knowledge of wellness trends to guide members.
• Builds authentic relationships and connects members with the YMCA.
• Adapts class approach to participants’ abilities and needs.
• Celebrates participant achievements in health and skills.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records and follows policies.
