YMCA of the Triangle is seeking a Part-Time Group Fitness Instructor to lead group classes under the Healthy Living program in Cary, NC. The role focuses on safety, enjoyment, and positive environments that promote member wellness and engagement.

The instructor will support the YMCA mission, work with the Healthy Living Director, and maintain class attendance and member relations while upholding policies and procedures.

Formación

• Required certifications: Basic Life Support/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen to be completed upon hire, national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction.
• Certification in areas of expertise.
• At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
• Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.
