Under the Healthy Living Director, you will manage classes, answer member questions, build relationships, keep attendance records, and follow YMCA policies; required certifications include BLS/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen, plus a national cert (ACE/NETA/AFAA/NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise.

Qualifications

• Required certifications: Basic Life Support/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen to be completed upon hire.
• National certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction; or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, safe, and educational group classes as directed by supervisor.
• Answers member questions to support healthy living goals.
• Builds authentic relationships with members and helps them connect with the YMCA.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures and responds to emergencies.
