Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Program Instructor to lead group exercise classes and supervise participants in a safe, non-competitive environment. You will work under the direction of the Program Director to ensure quality instruction and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, knowledge of exercise science, and the ability to demonstrate aerobic choreography.

Qualifications

• Experience leading group exercise classes.
• Minimum age 18.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science and biomechanics.
• Ability to demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Maintain current certifications (CPR/AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention) or obtain within 60–90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision in group exercise classes.
• Maintain a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
• Work under the direction of the Program Director.
