Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, seeks a dynamic Group Fitness Instructor to teach diverse genres at our Rancho Mirage, CA fitness center. You will craft engaging class formats, curate motivating playlists, and drive attendance while accommodating all fitness levels.

The role requires current national group fitness certification and CPR/AED, experience in group fitness or related fields, strong client interaction skills, professional communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate/license (e.g. Zumba).
• CPR/AED certification is required (no online CPR/AED accepted).
• Experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health, or wellness is preferred.
• Strong professional communication and vocabulary to relay information to clients/guests.
• Ability to engage participants as a public speaker.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging class formats with motivating playlists.
• Increase class attendance while offering moves for all fitness levels.
• Occasional coverage across multiple locations.

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an energetic, reliable and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach all genres at a high profile company's fitness center located in Rancho Mirage, CA.

• Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists.
• Have a passion for client results by building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all levels of fitness.
• Opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate, specialty class license (i.e. Zumba®, etc.) and current CPR /AED certification (no online CPR/AED certification accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
• Must communicate professionally using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from clients/guests.
• Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75. Plus One, an Optum Company, adheres to all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws as applicable.
