Job summary

Neighborhood House Association in Oceanside, CA seeks a Group Facilitator/Family Health Advocate for the Black Infant Health Program to manage and co-facilitate prenatal and postpartum group sessions while providing one-on-one support to BIH participants.

The role requires strong documentation skills, cultural competence, and ability to travel across San Diego County; a Bachelor's in a health/ social science field and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a community health or healthcare setting serving women and African Americans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Health Education, or related field.
• Ability to travel within San Diego County; valid driver’s license.
• Must attend CDPH/MCAH group facilitation training prior to facilitating groups.
• TB test required on hire and maintained every four years.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation accurately and timely per department standards.
• Follows and maintains fidelity of the BIH program.
• Prepare groups with materials and activities; provide snacks for in-person groups.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate groups or trainings (nutrition, breastfeeding).
• Maintain BIH participant caseload; provide one-on-one support.
• Participate in recruitment and engagement efforts for the BIH program.
