Job summary

Shelter Youth & Family Services seeks a Part-time Parent Group Facilitator/Community Outreach Worker (Spanish-speaking) to lead parent/child groups and screen new mothers for eligibility in the Healthy Families program. The role involves community outreach, partner relationship building, and maintaining group records.

Flexible up to 20 hours/week with two evenings monthly; CPR/First Aid/CPI certification required within six months. Prior group facilitation and experience with families a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in early childhood, social work, human services, or closely related field.
• Spanish bilingual required.
• Experience running groups preferred.
• Must become CPR/Infant CPR, First Aid and CPI certified within six months.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, plan and facilitate parent/child groups.
• Screen new mothers for program eligibility at partnering medical provider.
• Outreach in community for referrals and maintain partner relationships.
• Attend community networking meetings to raise awareness of services.
• Maintain records of parent groups and outreach efforts.
