Job summary

Bristol County Sheriff's Office is seeking a RSAT Program Facilitator at Dartmouth House of Correction in North Dartmouth, MA. You will lead daily group sessions, deliver evidence-based curricula, and conduct RSAT intake assessments with documentation in the OMS system.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and experience with substance use disorders, CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. A flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field such as social work, psychology, public health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage participants.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance use disorders, relapse prevention, CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily groups across housing units and facilities.
  • Adhere to evidence-based curriculum and approved materials for inmate services.
  • Perform RSAT intake assessments and maintain organized documentation.
  • Develop initial and updated treatment plans for RSAT participants.
  • Conduct basic case management, psychoeducation, and progress reviews.
  • Perform risk/needs assessments and collaborate on rehabilitation plans.
  • Coordinate with Directors and Coordinators to schedule evidence-based curriculums.
  • Maintain written documentation in OMS and other records.

Location: Dartmouth House of Correction, 400 Faunce Corner Road, North Dartmouth, MA.02747

Pay Grade: $60,264.61 - $77,773.27

Salary Grade: 16

Hours: 40 hours per week. Must be able to work a varying schedule, which may include some evening and weekend hours on a rotating basis.

Union/Non Union: Union

Days Off: Determined by agreed schedule

Supervision Received: Director of Recidivism Reduction Programs

Supervision Exercised: None

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate daily groups across various housing units and facilities.
  • Adhere to utilizing evidence-based curriculum and approved materials for the delivery of services to the inmate population.
  • Perform the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RASAT) intake assessments and maintain organized documentation.
  • Develop individualized initial treatment plans for RSAT Program participants, as well as complete periodic treatment plan updates and reviews.
  • Perform basic case management duties, such as individual meetings with RSAT participants to assess their progress within the treatment program, provide psychoeducation, and review information/skills that are being taught within the group curriculum.
  • Complete risk/needs assessments as needed, and collaborate with other departments in order to build rehabilitation plans.
  • Work with the Director of Programs and Program Coordinators to schedule, coordinate evidence based curriculums, and ensure the delivery of groups in accordance with facility requirements.
  • Maintain regular, written documentation and other record-keeping in accordance with policy and procedure including use of the electronic Offender Management System (OMS).
  • Attend staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training related to group facilitation, substance use, co-occurrence disorders, and behavioral programming.
  • Ensure adherence to BCSO policies and procedures, comply with facility regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and evening hours on a rotating basis.
  • Perform other related duties as designated by the Sheriff or his designee
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a CORI/background check and obtain security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field such as social work, psychology, public health and or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with substance use disorder, co-occurring and behavioral disorders. CADC-I/LADC or any other clinical license a plus.
  • Must possess clinical and applicable knowledge of mental health, substance use disorders, relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage participants.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while working with the justice-involved population.
  • Possess good time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft office and PowerPoint
