Job summary

Mondo in New York seeks a Group Creative Director, 3D Experiential to lead and elevate the agency's 3D experiential and spatial design practice, establishing design standards, driving creative excellence, and overseeing major experiential projects from concept through execution.

This role manages 4–5 direct reports, coordinates with creative, production and operations teams to align vision with budgets and timelines, and travels periodically for events, installations, and company gatherings.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in spatial design, experiential design, environmental design.
• 5–7 years of recent experience in experiential agencies.
• Currently a Creative Director or Senior Creative Director ready to take Group Creative Director ownership.
• Strong background in blueprints, schematic drawings, spatial planning and guest flow.
• Portfolio demonstrates high design craft and multi-layered storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve agency-wide 3D, spatial, and environmental design standards.
• Lead spatial design direction across multiple experiential projects and accounts.
• Drive quality, consistency, and craft across the design organization.
• Establish standards for spatial planning, materiality, scale, guest flow, detailing.
• Lead concept development and spatial storytelling for priority projects and pitches.
• Provide hands-on guidance around schematic drawings, spatial flows, builds, and technical design.
• Manage approximately 4-5 direct reports with dotted-line and freelance team members.
• Partner with creative, production, and operations to align ambition with budgets and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, resourcing and processes.
• Present work and rationale to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee design integrity through production, fabrication, and onsite execution.
• Travel periodically for events, installations, and company gatherings.
