Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking a weekend Group Facilitator to lead group therapy, psychoeducation and process groups for clients in detox and residential settings. You will collaborate with clinical staff, maintain thorough documentation, and help clients develop healthy coping skills and recovery tools while ensuring all charting and assessments are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state - CSAC
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
• Strong presence and sound judgement
• Warm, dignified and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
