Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a part-time Group Facilitator in the New Orleans area to lead group therapy sessions and support clients on their recovery journey. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical staff and thorough documentation of each session.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's in psychology or related field (Master’s preferred) and licensure or certification as required. Substance abuse experience and strong communication skills are essential for success in this

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state licensure / certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. CIT, RAC, CAC, LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC
• Substance abuse experience required
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
• Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed

Shifts: 12pm - 5pm

8:30am - 2:00pm

What You'll Do

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
