Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a part-time Group Facilitator to support group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups aligned with client needs. You will help clients develop coping skills and recovery tools, collaborate with clinical staff, and maintain thorough documentation of sessions, ensuring all assessments and charting are completed.

Shifts run 8:30am to 2:00pm in an outpatient setting with a supportive team dedicated to compassionate, confidential care and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state licensure/certification to practice in this role (e.g., CIT, RAC, CAC, LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, LPC).
• Substance abuse experience required.
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups.

• Escalate significant concerns to Clinical Director.

Now hiring a part-time Group Facilitator

Shifts: 8:30am - 2:00pm

What You'll Do

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
• Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
• Valid state licensure / certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. CIT, RAC, CAC, LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC
• Substance abuse experience required
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality
