Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a 1st Shift Inbound Group Lead to lead and support site training and development programs. You will design and deliver classroom and on-the-floor training, maintain WMS-related SOPs, and prepare detailed work instructions for operational processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Train associates and monitor their progress for the work group.
• Assign daily workloads and provide day-to-day guidance.
• Lead on-site training for SOPs and customer processes.
• Maintain training records and support continuous improvement.
• Open/close the building and ensure safety and compliance.

The core responsibilities of this role include: Lead and support site in the execution of training and development programs. Design, develop, and deliver engaging classroom and operational training presentations. Maintain training programs for WMS-related processes and warehouse operations. Train on site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and customer-facing process documentation. Prepare detailed work instructions for operational functions and system processes. Conduct new-hire training, onboarding, and cross-training for associates and temporary staff. Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Partner with operations leadership to ensure employees are trained on safety, quality, and productivity standards. Serve as a subject matter expert on warehouse processes, MHE operations, and WMS functionality. Provide ongoing coaching and support to associates to improve performance and operational compliance. Assist leadership with special projects and additional operational responsibilities as assigned.

Position: 1st Shift Inbound Group Lead

Shift:Mon-Fri 5am-1:30pm

Pay: $22.35 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• A minimum of 6 month’s experience operating stand-up material handling equipment is required.
• Experience operating other material handling equipment such as Order (Cherry) Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack is also a plus.
• The role reports directly to the Supervisor and will be responsible for training associates, monitoring production, giving constructive feedback to the associates, providing training to new associates, and assisting the Supervisor to ensure highest customer standards.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for assigning work schedules, training associates and monitoring associate progress for the work group they are directing. Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to work group. Responsible for daily workloads.

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct training for new associates.
• Maintain legible and accurate records or logs.
• Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
• Monitor performance of associates within the work group.
• Open and/or close and secure the building as directed.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
• Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.

Required Education and Experience:

• 6-12 months warehouse experience
