Job summary

TELUS Health Retirement Consulting is seeking a Senior Analyst to administer group annuity plans and provide analytical and administrative support. You will handle inquiries, perform complex benefit calculations, and maintain client relationships within a robust DB administration team.

The role emphasizes accuracy, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, with flexible options to work in-office, remotely, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Defined Benefit pension administration experience (including complex retirement, termination, death, and marriage breakdown calculations)
• Post-secondary education (preferably Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration
• Advanced knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation
• Experience reviewing pension calculations and member transactions
• Ability to lead projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong client service focus and professional acumen

Responsibilities

• Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients and members promptly and professionally
• Calculate termination, retirement, marriage breakdown and death benefits per plan provisions and legislation
• Foster strong relationships between client and administration team
• Coordinate information flow between client and administration team
• Prepare year-end pension statements

The Group annuity analyst will work within a team that to provide quality client‑focused administrative services for our Corporate clients. Our administration system is a robust record‑keeping platform that supports membership database updates, and provides electronic data interfaces, calculations, and transactions.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in administering group annuity plans and providing analytical and administration support. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Respond to plan inquiries and requests from client and our members promptly and professionally
• Calculate termination, retirement, marriage breakdown and death benefits in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements
• Foster strong relationships between our client and the administration team
• Coordinate information flow between our client effectively
• Accurately prepare year‑end annual pension statements
• Ensure data accuracy within the group annuity database
• Assist with special projects as required

What you bring

We’re looking for an experienced and skilled individual with:

• 3 to 5 years of Defined Benefit pension administration experience (including complex retirement, termination, death, and marriage breakdown calculations)
• Post‑secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration
• Advanced knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation
• Experience reviewing pension calculations and member transactions
• The ability to lead projects, taking ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with ease
• Excellent analytical skills
• A strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumen

Salary Range : $39,900 - $74,100 CAD Annual
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
